Haliable — Terms of Use

Last updated: June 26, 2026

By using Haliable, you agree to these terms.

What Haliable is

Haliable helps you check the halal status of packaged foods by scanning barcodes and reporting published positions from recognized halal certification bodies and scholarly references. Haliable does not issue independent religious rulings (fatwas). Verdicts are informational and cite their sources; a verdict of "questionable" means a source could not be confirmed, not a ruling. Always verify with a qualified scholar you trust before relying on any result, especially for matters of religious obligation.

No warranty

Product and ingredient data comes from third-party databases (Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central) and community contributions, and may be incomplete or out of date. Haliable is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. You are responsible for verifying any product's suitability for your needs, including allergies and dietary requirements.

Accounts and contributions

An account (via Sign in with Apple) is required only to submit manual reviews or add stores. You are responsible for the content you submit, and you grant Haliable permission to display approved community contributions (such as store listings) in the app. Do not submit unlawful, false, or infringing content. You may delete your account at any time from Settings.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or access it in unauthorized ways. We may remove content or accounts that violate these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
